KLS-Martin, LP, Jacksonville, Florida was established in 1993 as the North American arm of the KLS-Martin Group’s global network providing sales, service, and support for craniomaxillofacial products. Prior to 1993 the products had already established a reputation for quality and innovation having been sold since the 1970’s through a U.S. distributor. KLS-martin, LP manufactures an extensive array of products for craniomaxillofacial surgery including hand-held surgical instruments, titanium rigid fixation implants, bio-resorbable rigid fixation implants, and distraction osteogenesis devices. Recently, KLS-Martin, LP has also pioneered the development of a revolutionary titanium implant for the rigid stabilization of the sternum. This product, the Sternal Talon, continues KLS-Martin’s long history as an industry leader in product development and innovation.

In virtually every area of craniomaxillofacial surgery KLS-Martin has led the way with ground breaking new products and technology. In the 1970’s, working with Obwegeser, Champy, and other leading European Surgeons, the KLS-Martin Group introduced many of the first instruments and rigid fixation systems ever developed for craniomaxillofacial surgery. This innovative output has continued through to the present and includes many of the most important technical advancements in craniomaxillofacial surgery such as Drill-Free bone screws, modular plating systems, the RED mid-face distraction system, and the Sonic Weld System for bio-resorbable implants.
