Maximum Safety Thanks to an Advanced Safety Concept

The KLS Martin ME 411 electrosurgical unit is a universal system for use across all medical fields, satisfying even the highest user demands. Apart from its versatility, it offers maximum safety for users and patients alike.

The novel concept of “dynamic characteristics control” ensures optimal cutting and coagulation results in any application – irrespective of tissue impedances.

The ME 411 features eleven different working currents, optimized for specific working conditions. Two special urological currents account for the exacting work required in this field. In addition, the user has a whole range of bipolar currents at his/her fingertips, among them currents for bipolar cutting – a distinct plus in safety!

Another important feature of the ME 411 is the progressive power control that allows particularly fine power adjustment in the lower range, coupled with high power reserves in the upper range. Two microprocessors working in parallel control the unit, continuously monitoring all functions. A multifunctional interface allows easy connection of intelligent accessories of your choice.

Two separate HF generators allow you to use the monopolar and the bipolar technique simultaneously in different surgical sites (dual application). The ME 411’s PIN Error Control is an excellent safety feature – a highly effective protective circuit that prevents maloperation. Whenever the unit is turned on, an online self-test is automatically performed. If malfunction is detected during this routine, the unit displays an error code and blocks HF current output at the same time.

Our patented, active leakage current compensation feature limits high-frequency leakage currents to a minimum, thus also limiting the risk of accidental HF burns. The ME 411 also features the proven Patient Control System (PCS), a reliable NE application monitoring system specially designed for use with split neutral electrodes. Whenever the NE makes insufficient contact with the patient’s skin, a visual warning signal is emitted and current output blocked at the same time.

The ME 411 can also be used in conjunction with the Martin Argon Beamer System (MABS). This gives you all the options and benefits of argon plasma surgery. The very powerful Spray Coag mode enables you to apply the HF current “non-contact” to the tissue by way of ionized argon gas. This means fast and uniform hemostasis with significantly less tissue carbonization, while the patient benefits include improved wound healing and a substantially reduced perforation risk.

A comprehensive range of electrodes and other accessories is available for this unit as well.
