Sonic Weld Rx
The SonicWeld Rx process uses the Resorb-X polymer as a totally new method of internal fixation for craniomaxillofacial applications.
Resorb-X polymer
KLS Martin Resorb-X and SonicWeld Rx implants consist of pure poly D, L-lactic acid (PDLLA). The inherently amorphous polymer is totally non crystalline. Other mixed polymers may include crystalline components that are difficult to degrade.
Clinical experience has shown that Resorb-X polymer is fully resorbed, with no adverse tissue reactions.
Resorb-X implants can be easily bent and shaped as desired by simple heat application, making them ideal for anatomical placement in the craniomaxillofacial skeleton.
