backLite in endoscopy – it’s simply a matter of background!

During endoscopic interventions, the surgeon’s view of the surgical site is disturbed by the operating light as well as the room lights as soon as he/she turns to the monitor to track the intervention. Previously, the entire team had to resort to indirect orientation lighting to carry out their tasks.

Now, backLight solves the problem elegantly: a LED module integrated into the arm system automatically comes on as soon as the ambient illumination intensity drops below a predefined level, producing an upward-directed beam for indirect background lighting.

This reliably prevents accidental glare while leaving the operating light totally unaffected (specifically, no repositioning is required any longer).
