THREAD-LOCK

Titanium Implant System
for Stable Mandibular
Reconstruction
Featuring:
bulletStable locking interface by unique Screw/Plate connection
bulletThe renowned Centre-Drive® Cortex Screws 2.7 mm
bulletComplete assortment of 3 mm thick Locking Reconstruction Plates
bulletEasy contouring and adaptation
bulletAnatomically designed condylar implants
bulletImplants made of Titanium in Implant Quality
Centre Drive® “Thread-Lock“ Mandibular Reconstruction System (2,7 mm) is indicated to bridge Mandibular Continuity Defects and for the fixation of Bone Grafts.

This System has been specifically designed to fulfill the requirements for an ideal and universal Mandibular Reconstruction System:

bulletSufficient mechanical properties for functional load bearing
bulletEasy 3D-Bending by ergonomically designed bending tools
bulletPerfect Adaptation
bulletBiocompatible Material
bulletA non-problematic attachment of Bone Grafts
bulletTemporary replacement of the Mandibular Condyles
bulletEasy to remove
Plate Design Features
bulletThickness 3 mm, low profile with rounded edges
bulletLinks - 2.0 mm hole in plate - 2.7 mm screw.
The decrease in screw size allows for an increase in material around the screw hole. This design protects the screw hole and threads from derfomation during the plate adaptation procedure.
bulletThread in plate
bulletUnder surface of plate relieved between the links for easy bending
bulletA wide variety of lengths and shapes

Recognized as a “positional plate“ - The plate maintains a static position relative to the bone surface as screws are applied. Because the plate is threaded, there is no compression between the plate and bone when the screw is tightened and locked to the plate. This prevents microfractures between screw threads and bone which can occur when a conventional plate is used. (=screw stripping).

Screw Design Features
bulletdiameter 2.7 mm, pitch 1.25 mm
bulletself cutting
bulletlength 8 mm - 22 mm
bulletuniquely designed bullet tip - as the screw is advan- ced through the plate, the screw self threads into the bone preventing displacement of the plate off the bone. Lifting of the plate cannot occur.
bulletno emergency screw - no need for an emergency screw. It is impossible to strip a screw in bone because of the locking mechanism. The screw locks to the plate which avoids creating compressive forces, thus protecting the screw thread and bone interface.

Screw Insert Features
bulletblue color - easier to identify at the time of their removal
bulletplacement recommended to prevent the in-growth
of soft tissue into the empty holes.
bulletdecrease the amount of dead space to prevent potential infection.
bulletimportant factor when secondary reconstruction with bone grafting is considered. The inserts will protect the thread lock mechanism.
bulletbone grafts may be stabilized using the locking
2.7 mm screws or lagged into position using 2.3 mm screws.
